Delivery & Pickup Options – 3 reviews of GQ Restaurang – CLOSED “GQ or Grossmans (I am actually a bit confused as to what the name actually is) is a restaurant split in two parts. One fine dining and then the wine bar. We were eating at the small wine bar. I struggle how to rate the place as some things were great and others were far from impressive. Starting off we came there and mentioned our reservation and I could innediatley see the panicked look in the waitress face (like she just realized they screwed up and forgot our reservation). They aked us to sit at the bar sayaing that our table would soon be ready. Not a problem as such as the bar is fine to sit at and she asked if we wanted anything to drink. I asked for the wine list and also asked for non-alcoholic options. Got the wine listand then someone would be over to explain what non-alcoholic options were offered. After 10 minutes no one had taken our order but they rushed some other guests to finish so our table opened up. Once again asked what they offered as non-alcoholic options and got very poor descriptions like we have a red and a white wine and when asked what type of wine it was they had no clue. Sursprisingly the waitress at the wine bar could not explain anything of any of the regular wines either but she got another staff member over to us. I made my selection and after 10 minutes they came back and said it was actaully sold out – no recommendation of a substitute so had to once again have a look at the wine list. Maybe not a big issue but for a restauarant with some ambition I would expect more. Settled for a nice French Pinot but at 135 a glass not great value for money.Now on to the good stuff and that is the food. We were just there to grab a small dinner so just ordered some basic dishes from the bar menu. We still got an amuse bouche before the main, very cute and more importantly tasty mini veal hot dogs with a pecorino and truffle sauce. The bread was also top notch but service once again fell a bit short of expectations as they offered no explanation of the different breads. For mains we went for the great Swedish classic blood pudding with fried pork and apples and a side of lingonberries and mashed potatoes. Excellent dish and great value for money. The other dish was the mushroom ravioli with garlic foam, that was also great. Perhaps a bit on the small side.Desserts were excellent, especially the creme brûlée with sea buckthorn sorbet but also the chocolate terrine with pear ice cream and nuts and marshmallows. Also liked the small pre-dessert of lemon sorbet. All together still very good but service is lacking except for when Mr Grossman himself is out and serves. Will probably visit again as food is good.”
